Medical Receptionists

The Retina Institute is always seeking friendly, energetic people to become part of our team.  Candidates for Medical Receptionist/Front Desk positions will be required to answer phones, learn the office computer system, be trained in insurance authorization and coding.  Applicants will need to travel to various offices. This position necessitates exceptional people skills and the ability to multi-task various assignments.

Ophthalmic Photographers

Ophthalmic Photographers perform an assortment of tests to assist the physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.  This position requires the use of specialized equipment to obtain fundus photos and other digital imagery.  The photographer must be capable of doing venipuncture (IV injections) for special testing.  These tests include fluorescein and ICG angiography.  Additionally, photographers routinely perform ocular coherence tomography (OCT) and assist in various aspects of patient care.  Traveling to different locations is a requirement. Previous experience in an ophthalmology practice would be preferred.

Ophthalmic Technicians

Ophthalmic Technicians serve a vital role in a retina practice.  Candidates for this position must be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.  They are responsible for multiple facets of patient care.  Duties include recording thorough medical histories, checking vision and intraocular pressures, as well as, dilating patient eyes. Strong communication skills are required as technicians interact with both patients and physicians.  In addition to their primary responsibilities, they may perform diagnostic testing and assist the doctors with treatment procedures. This career opportunity entails traveling to various locations.  While experience is favored, enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn may apply.
